Search Platform

Envion Software initially helped an international Internet search-engine service company by developing a "connector" technology from their system to a Sybase database. Our implementation enabled their system, which employs a DOCS Open document management component, to index the data. We are now working with them to re-engineer and transform their web search-engine into a powerful and secure search/filter platform for corporate and enterprise information systems. As part of this major shift, Envion Software is developing the search engine capabilities to give users a single point of access to enterprise repositories and databases, regardless of data format, structure, or location. Presently, both Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server databases are supported; in the future, Oracle databases will be too.
