Together We Learn: From a Proven School Platform to a Personalised Mobile Learning Experience
Expanding an established B2B education platform into an independent B2C app that gives every learner the right content, level, and language.

The foundation
A strong B2B platform, ready for more
Together We Learn began with a strong B2B foundation. The existing platform gives schools, districts, nonprofits, and other organisations access to proven learning methodologies and thousands of educational activities. It combines family learning, learner control, formative assessment, and the Science of Reading + Writing within one comprehensive learning environment.
The Family Learning Company platform includes activities covering phonemic awareness, decoding, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and writing — while enabling organisations to monitor participation and mastery, and allowing families to learn together.
This created a powerful product for schools. The next opportunity was to make that experience available directly to individual learners and families.

The Challenge
A school-managed platform and an independent consumer app require very different experiences.
Within a school, teachers and administrators can help learners select suitable activities and monitor their progress. A B2C mobile app needs to guide each person independently from the moment they join.
Together We Learn needed to:
- Assess each learner’s current knowledge
- Identify the most appropriate starting level
- Build an individually tailored learning path
- Make thousands of activities easy to navigate
- Deliver a simple mobile-first experience
- Support learners outside traditional school environments
- Make the product accessible across languages and countries
- Reach families through both search engines and AI answer platforms
The goal was not to place the existing platform inside a smaller screen. It was to redesign the experience around the individual learner.

Assessment-Led Personalisation
The new Together We Learn experience begins with an assessment.
Instead of expecting every learner to follow the same sequence, the assessment helps identify their current abilities and places them at an appropriate level. The app can then present activities aligned with the individual’s needs.
This creates a more relevant and supportive learning journey. Learners can begin at a level that feels achievable, build confidence, and progress through increasingly challenging material without being restricted by a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
Inside the product
Five activity groups, endless giggles
Reading, Vocabulary, Phonics, Feelings, and Writing — every group is a little universe, and every level picks over 1,000 activities into each one.

From B2B to B2C
The B2C product transforms Together We Learn into an independent mobile learning experience. Families and individual learners will be able to access its methodologies and activities without needing to participate through a school or other organisation — opening the platform to parents seeking additional support, adult learners developing literacy skills, and people learning a new language.
The result is a new consumer product built upon years of educational expertise rather than a learning app created from scratch. The Family Learning Company team combines extensive experience in educational technology, curriculum development, assessment, literacy, and inclusive education, with a shared focus on equitable and effective learning outcomes.

A Mobile-First PWA
We developed the new product as a Progressive Web App, creating a responsive experience that can work across phones, tablets, and desktop devices from a shared technology foundation.
The PWA provides the speed and accessibility of a modern website while supporting an app-like mobile experience. Dedicated releases for the Apple App Store and Google Play are planned as the product moves toward its public launch.
This approach makes the app easier to maintain, update, and expand across multiple platforms.
AI-Powered Multilingual Expansion
One of the most exciting opportunities emerged through AI. AI-assisted localisation allows Together We Learn to adapt its educational experience for additional languages far more efficiently — creating the potential to support learners in countries and language communities frequently overlooked by mainstream education technology.
Learners can receive guidance and explanations in a familiar language while developing literacy in another. Their first language becomes a bridge to learning rather than a barrier — building on Together We Learn’s approach to language learning.

A Website Built for Discovery
Alongside the mobile application, we created a dedicated website designed for both SEO and Answer Engine Optimisation.
The website introduces the product to families, explains its learning methodology, and creates a foundation for organic discovery. Its structure is designed to communicate clearly with conventional search engines as well as AI-powered search and answer platforms.
This gives Together We Learn a route to reach parents and learners actively looking for personalised literacy support, family learning resources, and language-learning tools.
The Result
Together We Learn is evolving from a successful organisation-led education platform into a personalised global learning product.
Schools can continue using its extensive B2B platform, methodologies, activities, and reporting tools. At the same time, individuals and families will gain an independent mobile experience tailored to their own ability and learning needs.
The new product combines:
- A proven educational foundation
- Thousands of learning activities
- Individual assessment and level placement
- Personalised learning pathways
- Mobile-first PWA technology
- Planned App Store and Google Play availability
- AI-assisted multilingual localisation
- SEO and AEO-led digital discovery
Learning Without Borders
Together We Learn is built on a simple but powerful belief: education should not be limited by location, language, or access to a particular school system.
By combining established educational methodologies with personalisation, mobile technology, and AI-assisted localisation, the platform can bring meaningful learning opportunities to more people in more places.
It can help learners develop new languages while remaining connected to their own — and, in doing so, help people understand one another a little better.
Because when we learn together, we build more than knowledge. We build connection.
